This comb case, from the early 20th century, is a wonderful example of folksy tramp art carving by an unknown southeastern Pennsylvania artist. Similar examples are illustrated in "Just For Nice" by Richard and Rosemarie B. Machmer. The comb case retains the original surface, however there is a one inch piece missing from the backing board and the mirrors are replaced. H: 25", W: 14.5".
