This is a classic Lancaster County fan back chair with blunt-arrow feet on the front legs and vase and ring turnings on the rear legs. The chair also has the typical Lancaster County crest with a beaded edge and tall relief carved ears. The chair has a late 19th century coat of worn light salmon paint over several other coats of paint including the original dark green.  The chair is in good condition with no replacements.
