This authentic buckle is made of pressed brass with a lead back. The buckle is in fair condition with some dents to the brass and missing the brass tongue on the back. The Reserve Brigade was established in 1861 as a home guard unit after most of the local militia had mustered into Federal Service. During the war many members of the RB served in Virginia with the 119^th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry between 1862-1865. W: 3.25",  H: 2".
