This folky painted tin rooster weathervane is from the collection of Robert Leese and was found in Hanover PA. The rooster retains some of the original painted decoration on its wings, eyes, and tail. The rooster was made in two pieces and joined together by a one inch strip of tin to give the weathervane a three dimensional look. The rooster was made in the second half of the 19th century. W: 18", D: 1", H: 13".
