This sampler was made by Lydia Beaumont in 1834 when she was 8 years old.Lydia was born in Lebanon Township, New London Connecticut on February 3rd, 1826. The verse on the sampler is as follows: " Be Ye To Others Kind And True. As you Have Others Be To You. And Neither Do Nor Say To Men Whatever You Would Not Take Again." She stitched her teachers name, Ann Beaumont above the house and across the bottom the words " Wrought By Lydia B Beaumont Lebanon Sept 1834 Aged 8". The sampler is in excellent condition and the frame is old but not original. W: 19.5", H: 18.5.
