Lydia Beaumont's 1834 Connecticut Sampler

This sampler is identified on the last line of needlework as " Wrought By Lydia B Beaumont Lebanon Sept 1834 Aged 8".  Lydia was born in Lebanon Township, New London, Connecticut on February 3rd, 1826. The verse on the sampler is as follows: " Be Ye To Others Kind And True   As you Have Others Be To You   And Neither Do Nor Say To Men Whatever You Would Not Take Again."   Her teacher's name, Ann Beaumont, is stitched above the house.   The sampler is in excellent condition in an old, but not the original frame.  W: 19.5", H: 18.5.
