Folk Art Great White Herron

This unusual Heron was made with a combination of carved wood, gesso, and a coconut. This one of a kind folk art piece was found in Pennsylvania and was made around 1900. I believe that the hole in the coconut shell body was made to hold a flower pot. The Heron is in excellent, original condition. W: 9.5", D: 11.25", H: 36".
